Moroccos Atlas Blue expands fleet.
Atlas Blue, a Moroccan LCC, took delivery of its first B737-800 on 12-Jun-06.
Atlas Blue was launched in 2004 as a fully-owned subsidiary of Royal Air Maroc and provides direct international service from Marrakech and Agadir to destinations across Europe. The carrier operates a fleet of six 168-seat B737-400s. Atlas Blues expansion includes adding two aircraft every year for a total fleet of 24 aircraft by 2012. It faces increased competition from Ryanair, which last month signed a five-year marketing agreement with the Moroccan Government.
