Iberia and Vueling suspends from trading

(XFN-ASIA) - Trade in shares of Spanish airlines Iberia was suspended pending an announcement from Vueling, the stock market regulator said on Monday.

 

Shareholders in Clickair, part-owned by Iberia, began merger talks with Vueling shareholders earlier this year as soaring oil prices increased the need to consolidate Spain's fragmented airline market.  An Iberia spokesman would make no comment.
