Allegiant Air announces nonstop service from Myrtle beach
Allegiant Air, LLC announced (03-Mar-09) it will begin low-fare, nonstop jet service from Myrtle Beach International Airport to two Allegiant-served markets. The company announced low-cost flights to Huntington, WV will begin 30-April and the second city, to be announced 04-Mar-09, will begin 03-May. The airline will celebrate the service to the Tri-State with introductory fares as low as USD39 one-way.



The new flights to Huntington will operate twice weekly, with service Thursday and Sunday. Flights will depart Myrtle Beach International Airport at 1:10 pm arriving in Tri-State Airport at 2:30 pm Flights leaving Huntington will depart at 9:30 am arriving in Myrtle Beach at 10:50 am (all flight times are local.) Allegiant will utilize 150-seat, MD-80 series, jet-aircraft on the route.

The company commented that market research and input from local community leaders indicate Myrtle Beach and the Huntington markets will welcome the value and convenience of flying nonstop to/from Myrtle Beach International Airport as an alternative to long drives and connecting flights through congested airports.

Allegiant's USD39 one-way introductory fare to/from Huntington are limited, not available on all flights and must be purchased by 28-Mar-09 for complete travel by 30-Sep-09. After the introductory fare period, regular one-way fares to Huntington start at USD59 one-way.
