Wizz Air adds third aircraft to its Sofia base The new aircraft will also be deployed to increase frequencies of existing routes to Eindhoven and Valencia to 3 and 4 a week, respectively. Wizz Air expects to carry 37% more passengers in 2010 versus 2009.

Wizz Air has an operating base in Sofia and offers 14 destinations from the Bulgarian capital. The company also offers flights from Bourgas to a number of destinations in Europe mostly on a seasonal basis, as well as from Varna to Sofia and London Luton. Wizz Air is by far the largest low cost airline in Bulgaria with 58% of market share in September 2009.
The airline is well on track to carry over half a million passengers in 2009 and some 750,000 travelers in 2010 on its Bulgarian network.
