WizzAir travellers forced to reschedule their travel arrangements due to the route closure announced by the low-cost airline can travel between Budapest and Paris with Malév at a discounted rate. The Hungarian national carrier is ready to fly all persons holding a valid Paris air ticket for the low-cost airline to the French capital (or from there to Budapest) for a highly competitive price of just €69. Last week WizzAir announced that it would shut down its Budapest-Paris connection from 11 January 2010.
Malév runs two own-operated flights every day, and together with its code-share partner it guarantees four daily services to Charles de Gaulle, the central airport for Paris. 130,000 passengers have already used the service this year, with 6% more travellers in November compared to the previous year. Malév is confident that it will attract many passengers from the budget company; having experienced the high quality and traveller-friendly services of the Hungarian national airline such as the 23 kg free baggage allowance (Economy Class), free bank or credit card use, arrival at central airports, onboard services, finely tuned timetable, plus highly competitive fares, they will use the flag carrier for further air travel.
WizzAir Paris passengers can book their discounted one-way air tickets in Malév offices in Budapest and Paris or they can make arrangements through the Service Center. A condition of purchase is presentation of a WizzAir air ticket valid at the time of booking for travel between Budapest and Paris after 11 January 2010. This special offer from Malév is strictly subject to availability and expires on 15 January 2010.
