Jetstar expands customer choice with Up Front Seating

Australia’s low fares airline Jetstar will further expand its customer offering with the launch of Up Front Seating which allows for JetSaver Light and JetSaver passengers to select a seat in the front rows of its aircraft.

In addition to existing consumer initiatives such as Extra Leg Room and JetSaver Light, Jetstar’s new Up Front Seating option allows for Australian passengers to select a seat in the front rows of the aircraft from $5 per domestic Australian sector and from $15 per international sector.

Jetstar Executive Manager Commercial David Koczkar said Up Front Seating would allow JetSaver Light and JetSaver passengers to further customize their travel experience.

“Up Front Seating is yet another example of how our passengers can tailor their travel experience according to what they value,” Mr Koczkar said.

“In 2008, we launched our JetSaver Light fare, which gave passengers the choice to choose a lower fare by traveling without check-in baggage. Up to one in three of our passengers on some flights now choose to fly on JetSaver Light.

“Similarly, our Extra Leg Room seat upgrade option has also been well-received by our passengers who are seeking the choice of selecting a seat that has more room to stretch their legs.

“The introduction of Up Front Seating is in direct response to our customers who have been asking for this product as they like to sit close to the front of the plane with one of the benefits being that they can get in and out of our aircraft quicker,” Mr Koczkar said.

Passengers can select an Up Front Seat when booking at Jetstar.com.

JetFlex passengers continue to have access to selected seats, including in the front rows, inclusive in their fare.

Up Front Seats are available across Jetstar’s fleet of single-class A320 and A321 aircraft, and in the economy cabin of the airline’s fleet of A330 aircraft.
