Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation announces the signing of a supply agreement for first product delivery for Cebu Pacific Air (CEB), the Philippines’ leading domestic airline, during a contract signing ceremony at the Singapore Air Show. Eaton will provide AC motor pumps for up to 20 Airbus A320 passenger jets scheduled for delivery to CEB through 2014.
“CEB passengers will benefit from the airline’s continued innovation and focus on efficiency and comfort with the aid of Eaton’s quality technology,” said CEB President and Chief Executive Officer Lance Gokongwei. “We welcome this new relationship as we expand our operations with new aircraft and further extend our great value fares to more travelers in the region.”
“Eaton’s dedication to value, innovation and quality will support Cebu Pacific Air’s goals to modernize its fleet, and we are eager to explore further opportunities to promote CEB’s continued growth and success,” said Bradley J. Morton, president of Eaton’s Aerospace Group. “We look forward to this opportunity to expand our presence in the Asia Pacific aerospace market.”
Low-cost carrier CEB is the Philippines’ leading domestic airline and flies to 32 domestic and 14 international destinations, including Osaka, Incheon and Jakarta. The airline has flown more than 40 million passengers since its inception in 1996. CEB’s present fleet of Airbus A320 and ATR 72-500 aircraft is the youngest in the Philippines and operates from strategically placed hubs in Manila, Cebu, Clark and Davao.
