Tiger Airways’ Managing Director Crawford Rix said the airline was thrilled to be adding even more routes from Avalon when it commences flights from Melbourne’s second airport from November 10.
“Not only do Victorians now have even more holiday or travel destination options, but we are making it even more affordable for travellers from Perth and Adelaide to experience everything that Victoria has to offer.
“Imagine being able to explore Victoria’s spectacular Great Ocean Road from just $25* from Adelaide or from just $95* from Perth – that’s the power of our Low Fare Revolution: empowering all Australians with even more choice at more affordable prices.”
Mr Rix said the new routes would complement Tiger Airways’ first service between Avalon and the Gold Coast and followed the recent inking of a new deal with the Victorian Government for five aircraft, bringing the total number of Tiger Airways’ A320 planes in Australia to 13.
“This is a great growth story for a great, young Australian brand,” Mr Rix said.
“More and more Australians are voting with their feet and choosing to fly with us; every day more and more Australians are embracing our innovative Low Fare Revolution – the fact is Tiger Airways is the people’s airline.”
Tickets for the new services from Avalon Airport to Perth and Adelaide went on sale today. Avalon - Adelaide flights commence from November 10, and Avalon - Perth flights starting from November 12.
