This further development in the relationship will ensure a continued supply of high quality professional pilots from OAA for the rapidly expanding airline. This bespoke and tailored course represents one component of our expanding innovative and flexible crewing solutions for easyJet - encompassing the supply of both ab initio, A320 type rated pilots and experienced line pilots on flexible assignments through Parc Aviation.
Our APP First Officer Plus scheme, which combines an EASA Integrated ab initio programme with an A320 type rating offers OAA graduates yet another opportunity into a professional flying role with a successful and world renowned airline. easyJet will select the next batch of cadets from our pool of graduates following a combined OAA and easyJet skills assessment process. Once selected, the cadets will commence their type rating courses at our London Gatwick type training centre before progressing onto both aircraft base and line training with the airline. Once trained, the pilots will continue to fly as First Officers for easyJet through OAA Group Company Parc Aviation.
Our inaugural group of 20 cadets for easyJet commenced training in February this year and are now all flying as First Officers on assignment with the airline. In addition, Parc Aviation is supporting easyJet in the provision of a significant number of experienced A320 First Officers on flexible crewing assignments.
OAA Managing Director - Anthony Petteford said "We are absolutely delighted that we have exceeded the expectations of easyJet management through the high calibre of the pilots that we have already supplied to the airline. We now look forward to the further development of our partnership with easyJet through not only the continued supply of well trained pilots but also the development of new and innovative training programmes for their future crewing needs to support fleet growth"
Parc Aviation Managing Director Sean Butler also added "We are pleased that this expanded partnership allows us to build on our long-term relationship with easyJet in the provision of flexible crewing solutions and to support new opportunities for graduates as well as experienced flight crew personnel."
