Virgin America and Twitter team up for a 'Fly Forward, Give Back' 24-hour fare sale
Virgin America today teams up with Twitter to launch a 24-hour Fly Forward, Give Back Fare Sale.

The airline is encouraging flyers across the nation to grab a seat and retweet, to help raise funds for educational causes. With sale fares as low as $39* and with Virgin America donating five dollars per booking** over the next 24 hours to education focused nonprofits: this deal is definitely "retweetable." With industry-leading guest service, beautiful design and a host of innovative amenities, Virgin America has captured a list of industry best-in-class awards and has become a favorite among tech-forward flyers since launching service in 2007.

The "Fly Forward, Give Back" Twitter 24-hour fare sale is good for travel across Virgin America's network between August 24, 2010-November 17, 2010. Tickets must be purchased between 7:00am PT on August 3, 2010 and 7:00am PT on August 4, 2010. Main Cabin fares start as low as $39* on short-hauls like Los Angeles (LAX)-San Francisco (SFO) and SFO-Las Vegas (LAS). Long haul fares start at $109* from New York (JFK)-LAX, Boston (BOS)-SFO and Washington Dulles (IAD)-LAX. Tickets are on sale today on the airline's Web site (www.virginamerica.com) and at 1.877.FLY.VIRGIN (1.877.359.8474).***

Virgin America will donate five dollars for every direct booking** made in the "Fly Forward, Give Back" 24-Hour Twitter Fare Sale to education focused nonprofits. Virgin America will donate up to $50,000 today – and 100 percent of the donation will go to KIPP (Knowledge is Power Program) Classroom Projects on DonorsChoose.org. DonorsChoose.org is an online charity that makes it easy for anyone to help students. Virgin America is an ongoing supporter of the KIPP network, which operates free, open-enrollment, college-prep public schools in under-resourced communities. For more about KIPP, visit: www.kipp.org. Virgin America offers unrivalled value with low fares and innovative features like touch-screen seatback entertainment, power outlets, mood-lighting and custom-designed leather seating with a deeper, more comfortable pitch. In May 2009, Virgin America became the first airline to offer guests in-flight internet on every flight.
