Allegiant Air celebrates two years of service from Appleton

Low-cost airline, Allegiant Air, LLC, a subsidiary of Allegiant Travel Company (NASDAQ: ALGT), celebrates two years of service from Appleton, Wis.
Allegiant began providing low-cost air service to Las Vegas on Aug. 21, 2008. In honor of the company's commitment to the Appleton community, Allegiant will host a school supplies drive for the Community Clothes Closet and give away a Vegas vacation.
"Two years ago we began a successful partnership with the Outagamie County Regional Airport by offering low-cost, nonstop flights to Las Vegas," Andrew C. Levy, Allegiant Travel Company President, said. "Support from the community has allowed us to expand our offerings to provide service to another popular vacation destination, Orlando. Thank you to the Outagamie County Regional Airport and our customers for their continued support."
To celebrate the anniversary, Allegiant is partnering with Channel 5 News (WFRV-TV) to collect school supplies for the Community Clothes Closet's program, Being Cool for School. The program allows students currently enrolled in school to shop for new clothing and school supplies free of charge. Items for the event can be dropped off at twelve locations: two WFRV offices (320 Patriot Drive, Little Chute and 1181 East Mason Street, Green Bay) all nine Gunderson Cleaners locations (Greenville, Appleton, Menasha, Neenah) and the Community Clothes Closet (1465 Opportunity Way, Menasha). Donations must be received by Aug. 18; the Being Cool for School event will be held on Aug. 21. Residents are encouraged to stop by any drop-off location and enter to win an Allegiant Vegas vacation consisting of roundtrip airfare for two on Allegiant, a four-night hotel stay at Tropicana Las Vegas and two tickets to Brad Garrett's Comedy Club.
