(CAPA) Spains clickair launched its inaugural Barcelona-Athens service on 29-Oct-07. Until Mar-08, the service will be offered three times weekly.
In little more than a year since its launch on 01-Oct-06, clickair has become “Europe’s fastest growing airline”, according to clickair. Starting out with three aircraft and 24 daily services to five destinations, it now operates more than 120 daily services to 50 destinations in Spain, the British Isles, Continental Europe and Northern Africa. Its current fleet comprises of 22 180-seat A320-200s, which will increase to 30 aircraft by mid-08.
clickair is owned by five major Spanish companies, each with a 20% share of the equity: Iberia airlines; Nefinsa (parent of Spanish regional airline, Air Nostrum); Spanish construction group, Cobra; hotel and resort company, Iberostar, and Quercus Equity, a private equity fund, part of the Agrolimen Group. clickair has its headquarters at Barcelona El Prat Airport.
