AirAsia X to extend Hangzhou service with 8,888 free seats
AirAsia X, announced plans to extend its schedule for its Hangzhou, China service by giving away 8,888 free seats. AirAsia X launched its service to Hangzhou on 4-Feb-08, and is extending its schedule from Mar-08 to Jan-09.

 

AirAsia X Chief Executive Officer, Azran Osman-Rani, said “We’re very committed to develop this first direct service from Southeast Asia to Hangzhou, and entice as many people to x-perience the AirAsia X long-haul service to Hangzhou, the tourism capital of China, with convenient links to commercial centres in Shanghai and Suzhou.”

Meanwhile, Hangzhou itself is set to receive a major tourism boost with this extension of service, as it welcomes visitors from AirAsia’s low-cost network from Malaysia, Southeast Asia and Australia.

According to AirAsia’s Regional Head of Commercial, Kathleen Tan, “With the launch of Hangzhou, AirAsia is now well positioned as the leader in offering direct services to China. We will capitalise on this success and introduce more Chinese destinations and frequencies this year.”

The free seats promotion is available for online bookings from 23-Feb-08 to 27-Feb-08 at www.airasia.com, and for travel from 30-Mar-08 to 11-Jan-09.
