StarFlyer to operate charter services to Seoul
Japanese domestic low cost carrier, Star Flyer, announced plans to launch its first international services in Jul-08, with charter services from its home base of Kitakyushu Airport to Seoul, according to the carrier’s FY2008 business plan announced March 28, along with its 2008-2012 medium range plan.

 

The carrier will also commence cargo services in collaboration with Fukuyama Tsuun in Jul-08, as previously announced.

StarFlyer will continue with its Kitakyushu-Haneda route and Kansai-Haneda route using A320 aircraft.

According to the carrier’s Medium Range Plan for the 2008-2012 period, StarFlyer plans to operate Haneda-Fukuoka flights in 2010, and after 2010 will launch short range scheduled routes to east Asia, including to Korea, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau. It will expand international leisure charter operations also, from Kitakyushu, Kansai and Haneda.

Fleet expansion plans during the period include acquisition of one new aircraft in Nov-09 and two in 2010. By 2012 it plans to have a fleet of 12 aircraft.
