easyJet announced (04-Dec-06) plans to introduce an online priority boarding reservation service, called ‘Speedy Boarding, offering passengers the opportunity to secure a place in the initial boarding group and have a choice of seats.
easyJet previously operated a free seating policy where the first 30 passengers to check-in were the first to board the aircraft, followed by the next in groups of 30. Passenges then chose any seat onboard. The carriers online priority boarding service will be operated on a first-come first-served basis, with fees of GBP2.50 GBP7.50 based on sector length and departure airport.
