The multireservation search facility, available at www.clickair.com, offers the best economic and time option for any combined flights within the clickair network, enabling passengers to access many more cities, with connections within two hours, usually through one of clickair’s bases (Barcelona, Seville, Valencia or Bilbao).
Alex Cruz, clickair’s CEO, stated, “the European airline market is fiercely competitive and it is our intention to keep one step ahead of other low cost carriers. We do this by being innovative and we are confident enough with our strong and consistent punctuality record to make this exciting new option available to our passengers".
He added: “clickair’s multireservation option stretches the traditional point-to-point model of LCCs to the max. We believe we are well positioned to pursue this direction – carrying 4.6 million passengers in 2007 and achieving top ranking as the most punctual operator at Spanish airports* on both international and domestic services.”
Multireservation comprehensively connects the clickair network. Passengers travelling with clickair from Palma Mallorca, for example, could previously only book online to travel directly to Barcelona. Using multireservation, Palma-originating passengers can now make just one online booking for travel to a choice of 16 destinations - including Amsterdam, Moscow and Munich, all via Barcelona. UK-originating passengers can also, for example, book to fly from Heathrow to Barcelona via La Coruna.
Clickair, which commenced operations in October 2006 with just three aircraft serving six routes, currently operates 54 domestic and European routes using a dedicated fleet of 24 Airbus A320s. It anticipates carrying 7.2m passengers during 2008.
Newly introduced routes with the start of the summer schedule at the end of March, include: Barcelona – Tel Aviv (three times weekly); Barcelona-Milan Malpensa (twice daily); Seville-Las Palmas (four times weekly); Seville-Tenerife North (three times weekly) and once daily flights between London Gatwick and Bilbao.
clickair now has a 14% share of the Spanish domestic low cost carrier market, which it predicts will grow approximately 10% during 2008.
