ILFC will lease Virgin Australia five new Boeing 737-800s

International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC), a wholly owned subsidiary of American International Group, Inc. (NYSE: AIG), announced today it has completed an agreement to purchase and leaseback five new Boeing 737-800 aircraft to Virgin Australia.

Flydubai, Dubai's pioneering airline, has received its eighth aircraft of 2011, bringing its total to 19 overall. The latest Boeing 737-800 NG fleet addition arrived on schedule from the Boeing factory in Seattle and has gone straight into service across the airline's 38 operational destinations.

GOL Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes S.A. (BM&FBOVESPA: GOLL4 and NYSE: GOL),(S&P/Fitch: BB-/BB-,Moody’s: Ba3), the largest low-cost and low-fare airline in Latin America, took delivery of its first Boeing 737 Next Generation aircraft with CFM56-7BE engines, which were developed with turbine pressure changes and other improvements that reduce drag, reducing friction of the aircraft with the air, cutting fuel consumption up to 2% over the currently-used CFM56-7B1 engines.

Flydubai doubles fleet with 18th aircraft

Flydubai, Dubai's pioneering low-cost airline, has doubled the size of its fleet in just one year following the arrival of its 18th aircraft last week. Marking yet another milestone for Dubai's first low-cost carrier, the new Boeing 737-800 NG represents an investment of $80m and is the latest delivery of the order of 50 placed by Flydubai at the 2008 Farnborough Airshow.

Jazeera Airways and Lufthansa Technik AG, the leading provider for maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) of airplanes, components and engines, have extended the existing 10-year Total Engine Support TES® from 2006 for further two years.
