Overview - MyAir Italian LCC, Myair (My Way Airlines), launched operations late 2004, operating from Milan (Orio al Serio) to Brindisi, Catania, Naples and Madrid, from Venice to Madrid and Barcelona and from Catania to Madrid. Its business model was based on growing the budget market and capitalising on the troubles of beleagured Volare and Alitalia, by seizing market share. The airline now operates to 30 European destinations on A320 and MD-82 equipment. The airline has recently received the first of 19 CRJ900s. We were attracted to the CRJ900 aircraft because of its low operating costs, quick turnaround times and outstanding passenger comfort, says My Way President Carlo. Of the 19 aircraft on order, 15 of the firm orders will be converted to the CRJ-900X assuming the aircraft manufacturer launches the stretched version. Bernini has stated, The CRJ900 jet is the ideal aircraft for our low-cost operations.
