SLOVAKIA : SkyEurope informs with the biggest regret - especially for its passengers and employees but also its business partners - that SkyEurope Airlines A.S., the operative subsidiary of SkyEurope Holding AG, has suspended operations due to filing for bankruptcy by the restructuring trustee today.

SLOVAKIA : York Global Finance II S.a.r.l. has extended the deadline for the repayment of its EUR15 million loan granted in Dec-2007 and its EUR10 million loan granted in Sep-2008 to SkyEurope Airlines a.s. to 15-Jun-09. Both loans were due for repayment on 15-May-09 in accordance with the loan agreements as amended.

SLOVAKIA : York Global Finance II Sarl has extended the deadline for the repayment of its EUR15 million loan granted in Dec-2007 and its EUR10 million loan granted in Sep-2008 to SkyEurope Airlines to 15-May-09.

York Global Finance II Sarl acaba de prolongarle a SkyEurope, hasta el próximo 15 de mayo de 2009, el pago de los préstamos concedidos. El primero de 15 millones de euros otorgados en diciembre 2007; y el segundo en septiembre de 2008 de 10 millones. El pago de ambos préstamos debía hacerse efectivo el pasado 15 de abril de este año.

SLOVAKIA : SkyEurope transported a total of 233,027 passengers in Dec-08 with a load factor of 72.7%. In the 12 months ended Dec-08, the Company carried 3,630,106 passengers with a load factor of 73.4%.The decrease in passengers carried reflects a planned capacity reduction undertaken for the Winter 2008 amidst a weak global economy.

GECAS terminates lease of six aircraft to SkyEurope Airlines

SLOVAKIA : SkyEurope announces that GECAS has terminated the leases for six aircraft leased by SkyEurope Airlines as of 08-Jan-09 and that the aircraft have been returned to GECAS. The aircraft capacity has been replaced and SkyEurope continues to operate all scheduled flights.

SLOVAKIA : SkyEurope reported it transported record number of passengers of 307,540 passengers in Vienna and Prague, in Mar-08, representing an increase of 16.2% year-on-year. SkyEurope recorded a load factor of 73.6% due to a 38.6% increase in seat capacity. SkyEurope stated the increase in seat capacity has been accomplished by better utilisation of its new larger 737-700NG aircraft.
