Spirit Airlines and on-demand software provider, Silverpop, have been working together since Oct-06, to improve the airlines email marketing effectiveness. Since then, Spirits email open rates regularly top 50% and have reached as high as 81%. Monthly revenue generated by the email programme has increased from 9% in 2006 to a 15-20% contribution to the bottom line.
