IRELAND : Ryanair, Ireland’s largest airline, today (19th Oct) announced that in addition to our regular daily flights to Paris (Beauvais) from Dublin and Shannon we will operate extra flights for the World Cup playoff match in Paris on Wednesday 18th November.

IRELAND : Ryanair, the World’s favourite airline, today (21st July) announced a 40% capacity cutback in its Stansted Winter Schedule starting in October ’09. Ryanair operated 40 aircraft from Stansted this summer but will reduce this to 24 aircraft (a 40% reduction) this winter with a 30% reduction in the number of weekly flights and a loss of 2.5m passengers at Stansted between October and March 2010.

Ryanair confirmed (05-Feb-09) that the Government’s new EUR10 travel tax is already having a damaging impact on forward bookings from 30-Mar next. This EUR10 tourist tax, which has already caused traffic declines in the UK and Holland when previously introduced, is devastating forward bookings in Shannon, because in many cases it exceeds the air fare paid by many passengers on Ryanair’s low fares routes from Shannon.

IRELAND : Ryanair announced (16-Jan-09) that it had recorded its best ever week of sales with over 1.5 million seats sold between 09-Jan to 15-Jan-09. Ryanair’s record sales announcement comes just one day after it announced five new aircraft at its Alicante, Bristol and Edinburgh bases, which will serve 23 new routes across its European network this summer including new Knock and Derry routes to/from Alicante.
