Expedia NewsV Australia and Expedia sign agreement
AUSTRALIA : Expedia announced (09-Apr-09) a long term global agreement with Virgin Blue and its new international airline, V-Australia. The deal marks Expedia’s first global airline agreement in Australia, and the first global distribution agreement for either airline with an online travel company. easyJet offers rescue package for Ryanair customers
UNITED KINGDOM : Following the announcement that Ryanair has carried out its threat to terminate its hotel supplier contract with Expedia, easyJetHotels are offering Ryanair customers an extra 5% off rates at easyJetHotels. Ryanair to terminate Expedia hotel deal
IRELAND : Ryanair confirmed (14-Oct-08) that it has given 30 days notice to Expedia that its hotel contract will end following Expedia’s failure to honour payment terms. Ryanair entered into the agreement with Travelscape LLC (the parent of Expedia) on the 21-Mar-07. This agreement gave Expedia exclusive rights to sell hotel accommodation on Ryanair.com and gave Expedia on-line access to Ryanair’s passengers. |
